John Cale, "Dying on the Vine."

Big Cale fan here. Saw him in 80, 84, 85 in ATL, then went to his gig at Hopscotch in Raleigh in 2013 and hung out patiently for two hours back stage to see him. Got a great photo of me, my wife, and Cale. Spent about 10 minutes with him. One of my fondest memories.

Notably, in 85, he played Hallelujah, long before he ever recorded it. From what I can tell from jabbering with other Cale fans on YT, it had to have been one of the first times he played it live.

Cable Hogue, live, when he was still purging his demons. Brutal, and lovely, if you like, as I do, the shrieking.
